DENISE LOCKUN WILLSON MARSH KAREN MARTELL HOWARD MATHEWS LAURA MEAD Through Continuous Projects! We had a blast on the paper and bottle drive. All the kids went out to collect papers and bottles from neighbors and friends. Then we turned them in for the refund. The mothers put on some rummage sales to help us. The chicken dinner was dismissed this year, so we had to think of more ways to make money. The town was monopolized by the Senior money-making projects, but they always helped us out by buying and contributing. Pajama parties made the year loads of fun. Other parties were given too. Also, there was the Prom which the Juniors gave us. It was so pretty and so much fun; and even nicer be- cause it was the last one given for us while we were in school. These are some of the memories we will have to look back on in future years. We are glad we could share them with you! Early in the Fall, we spent many awarding hours planning and making our Homecoming float. It was chosen best of all entries. Our first real money making project was the magazine sale. It proved to be interesting as well as fun. We had a horrible time making our balance come out even with the money at hand, but even worrying about that was fun. The concession stand was given to the Seniors to help make money for the trip. Bake sales and car washes helped build up our depleated treasury. We sold sweat shirts to the High School and smaller grades. More money!! We had a hard time making the shirts, cash, and balance come out even this time too. This was one of the most interesting projects we took up during the year. Very little sleep was caught up on while we were on the boat to Mackinaw though. We started out from Detroit on a Sunday and came back Tuesday evening. The trip was very enjoyable as well as interesting. We were all surprised to learn so much of Michigan's historical background. After the trip, came the sad and serious Graduation. Tears were shed, but everyone was proud and happy under the gloom. As you walked up the aisle, all the years of waiting, wish- ing, and working to get out of school finally seemed worth all the effort. Now we have taken the final step from child- hood into adult life, and the future. LEE STEVENS ROGER TAYLOR We Bid Our High School Farewell . . .
