However, with much sacrifice and hard work on the part of the boys and diligent coaching on the part of Ol Harry, the team breezed through to second place to the upper end of the valley. December 18 North Bend 8-Snoqualmie 60 North Bend's basketball team, being weakened by the illness of several players was an easy vicitm for the Bulldogs. December 22 North Bend 36-Fall City 21 The Salmon Eaters couldn't stand the pace set by the Lewains, and North Bend won an easy victory. January 8 North Bend 21-Duvall 16 Although held to a tie at half-time, North Bend came back strong and won from Duvall 21-16. January 15 North Bend 25-Caranation 16 Smarting under a defeat of last year, the Lewas went into the game to avenge themselves. After the first half the outcome was never in doubt. January 22 North Bend 25-Issaquah 27 Issaquah juorneyed to North Bend with the avowed purpose of taking a set-up game from us, The game was nip and tuck from the first whistle, and Issaquah won only after they had exerted themselves to the utmost. January 29 North Bend 27-Snoqualmie 36 With a weakened line-up, North Bend invaded Snoqualmie territory and lost a hard fought game to them 27-36. February 2 North Bend 13-Issaquah 23 Playing a hard game throughout, the Lewas lost to Issaquah on the Preston floor, 13-23. The game was more closely contested that the score indicates. February 5 North Bend 36-Fall City 13 Playing listless game of ball, North Bend took an easy victory from Fall City. Many easy shots were missed by both teams. February 12 North Bend 24-Duvall 21 With the loss of two players due to illness, North Bend was lucky to cop the game from the fast stepping Duvall team. February 19 North Bend 24-Caranation 14 Playing a hard, steady game throughout, North Bend won the closing game of the season from Caranation 24-14. March 12 North Bend 25-Bothell 14 In a hard fought game North Bend's second team took Bothell into camp 25-14, winning the Class B championship of Snoqualmie Valley. The second team was the bright spot of boys' basketball. The cubs lost but two games the entire season and won the championship of the Valley. Page thirty-four

L E W A I N I 9 2 6 if fe, i1-Vifielf Tennis Champions North Bend hung up another pennant last fall, when they captured the tennis championship of King County. The team annexed a total of 11 points to take the championship from Kirkland, who was a close second with 10 points. Captain Ray Francis, Dick Carmichael, Ben Morris, Wilma Mueller, Pauline Offield, and Vivian and Verna Clocksin, were the members of the team. 1 'T-. . !
