S. are supervised by the Students' Association, For the first time in the history of this organization a Junior has been piesident for the entire year. Vivian Clocksin held the office for two semesters. The entire Board of Control remained the same all year. A new amendment was added to the Constitution. It reads as follows: Be it hereby enacted an amendment to the CONSTITUTION of the NORTH BEND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS? ASSOCIATION that the treasurer shall be custodian of all class funds and funds of other organizations within the student body. He shall give a receipt to the treasurer of the organization and to pay funds only upon requisition signedby treasurer and faculty advisor of that organization. He shall render a mimeographed financial statement at the end of each quarter, placing a copy of it on the desk of every student enrolled, Be it further amended that no organization may make purchases without requisition in duplicate signed by treasurer and faculty advisor of the student body, who shall draw a check on funds credited to such organization. Owing to the fact that our basketball games were not as well attended as we hoped f-or, the funds of the Association were in such a condition that no money could be given to the Annual Fund. Con. sequently, the quotas of the class were raised 310 apiece. They all worked hard, and the Siophomores were the first to raise their quota. Page flzirty-two

E 'f '1-s,:.-sL?:':1-fir.- 311517 LEWAIN 1926 Football On September 15, when Coach Lemon issued a call for- football players, about sixteen boys responded. The majority were green and inexperienced, and prospects of a winning aggregation were gloomy. But with the splendid coaching of Mr. Lemon and the willing cooperation of the boys in training and turning out for practice, things soon brightened up. September 25 North Bend 0-Sultan 49 With only a week's practice to their credit, North Bend journeyed to Sultan and were easily defeated by the heavier, more ex- perienced Sultan team. October 2 North Bend 60-Foster 0 With a revamped lineup, North Bend easily defeated the weaker Foster aggregation. The team worked like a well oiled machine. October 9 North Bend 14-Kent 12 Playing the best game of the season, the Lewas downed the 1925 county champs, 14 to 12. Although outweighed by the Kent team the Lewains carried the battle to them all the time, and outfought them to win the game by two try-for-points. October 16 North Bend 7--Issaquah 6 North Bend journeyed to Issaquah for the first league game of the season, and met opposition of the stiffest calibre. We were playing an erratic game of football, and when Issaquah failed to kick the try-for- point, giving us the game by a narrow margin of one point, we con- sidered ourselves very lucky in our league start, October 23 North Bend 6-Kirkland 32 Kirkland came up with her bunch of beef, outweighing us 10 pounds to the man, which proved to be too much of a handicap for us to handle, and they walked off with an easy victory. It was disasterous to us, as several of the boys were injured. October 28 North Bend 7-Redmond 0 With two of the regulars on the sidelines, and during the second quarter the loss of Kaptain Fred, left a bunch of boys who stood by the banner of Lewain in a very creditable manner. A couple of well executed fake plays resulted in our 7 to 0 victory. November 6 North Bend 0-Snoqualmie 28 With the loss of Captain Daigneault, North Bend journeyed to Snoqualmie to play the team of the Little Giant. Although North Ben'd put up a good fight, the outcome was never in doubt. November 13 North Bend 0-Bothell 12 Fighting with their backs to the wall all the time, North Bend held the valley champs to 2 touchdowns. Several times the ball was in the shadow of our own goal posts, when the Lewas would buck up and holcd the heavier team for downs, November 21 North Bend 0-Alumni 13 Playing in a sea of mud and a cold, driving rain, the heavier alumni defeated the high school team 13 to 0.
