N ' Y fi Freshman History Hurrah for the Freshman class of '29. Only a few short weeks until we will have relinquished the honored name of Freshies -we will do this with a wee ache in our hearts, too, for our experiences have been many and varied, since we trotted almost breathlessly thru the corridors, into the -strange and uncanny assembly room of N. B, H. S. Will anyone forget those North pole glances -of the sophisticated Juniors and Seniors and the Dignified Sophs? Will any Freshman ever forget the where am I and where was I feeling as we groped blindly for that particular room that was to reveal the amazing fact that a plus b equals c. Gradually things became more human under the direction of Miss Everett, our class advisor. Miss Everett was substituting at that time for Miss Nelson, who returned about November 16. The first event which was to make us realize our important position in this school was the Freshman Mixer. We surely received the shocks of our young lives. If the exchequer could stand the electric bill we are sure our bodies were charged sufficiently to keep us going the rest of the year. For proof of the above statement: We have earned enough money for our annual quota, S25-which really isn't such a mediocre sum either, Numerous pie, popcorn, hot dorg sales contributed nicely. Oh, that waffle luncheon! Even yet we have nightmares and imagine ourselves wading thru dough rivers. Some have probably imagined themselves trying to dance on the spot where a gallon of delicious syrup was reclining, having met its doom during one of the rush orders. Anyway, after the blue smoke raised, there was 3512 to our credit. The Sfophs gave us a very lovely evening November 20. We attempted to show our appreciation later by giving a little Valentine's dancing party entitled Cupid's Frolic. As a Freshman class, individually, we are all for one, and one for all-collectively we are all for one N. B. H. S.-our spirit is gathering momentum. Just think what we will be as Seniors! u Page twenty-eight LLWAIN 1926 gig--7 had
