Seve it LE School Improvements The School Board was very liberal this year, installing in the sch-ools a great amount of modern equipment which makes the buildings two of the best equipped for their size in the Northwest. The Home Economics Department was refurnished with new tables and chairs made especially for sewing purposes. The room was further beautiiied by the addition of a large wardrobe cabinet, and a screen which encloses a space used as a fitting room. It was a pleasure to take Physics this year due to the improve- ments which were made in the laboratory. An entirely new supply of apparatus and chemicals was purchased for the department. Three new tables, each containing individual drawers and chemical troughs, were built for the convenience of Physics work. The Manual Training rooms were remodeled converting the shop into two roomsg a machine room and a work room. In addition to the new equipment installed in these departments, a file was purchased for the Commercial room to give the students practical work in filing. A fire proof safe was installed in the office. During the summer linoleum was laid in the halls, a wax solution being used on the surface which gives a very pleasing' appearance, Each year our schools are becoming more beautiful adding to the joys of school life.
