' 'ir HESPERIA 1949 4 Returning to North Bend high again, On our merry wayg All of us are looking forward, To graduation day. Roger Clark the president Is really quite a guy As center on our favorite team He rolls the score up high Wally Dunn Is a member of the band For doing such a marvelous job Lets all give him a hand the next in line Margaret Tirrothy is secretary Evelyn Hoffman collects our dues I-rom the student council im Scott brings us all the news The planning of the Senior Ball, Was quite the coming eventg 'We planned and toiled for many weeksg Until invitations were sent, The music played they all had fun In the merry month of May There never was anythmg so grand That they all did say The day of graduation omes And all the seniors will go Leaving teachers all our friends Well be sadder than you know So farewell dear old schoolhouse The teachers and the rest When we think of our Alma Mater Well be thinking of the best CLA!! DIQDDHECY It is 1969 in North Bend As our attention is focused on a well kept residential district we see Mrs Retta Prow and Miss Geraldme Larsen in their back yards doing their mommg chores and chatting over their back fence Good momng Gerry' How is the Friendly Boarding Home for Spinsters coming along? Its a great success How is your husband and your fine family? My oldest son is graduating from North Bend high tonight Wouldn t it be wonderful to see our old classmates again? They re widely scattered now Yes just the other dav I saw a copy of Vogue and there was Lorraine Ostergard modelmg for the well dressed matron She is married to one of her many admirers ean Hofer is dancing in Lon Bryant s show called Bryant s Breathless Beauties Lon is now known as kmg of the show business Leonard jr will be going to Oregon State next fall I hope he studies agriculture from Professor Roger Clark Roger teaches hand milking for it proves useful when the power fails His assistant Miss Carolyn Carlson is highly skilled at running milking machines oy Emmett is matron of the city jail She s engaged to Dick Tracy Mary Ann Rose coaches the Yale basketball team which is very good Ann Mundell teaches English in room 3 at North Bend high Its former occupant has retired but Ann has a few more years left Evelyn Hoffman was a teacher too but I guess matrimony held too much allure I saw her when I was in Portland and she seems very happy with her family Matrimony' That reminds me Maryann Adams runs a matrimonial agency She finds mates for others but she doesnt neglect her own interests It was thinking about Lyle Bailey He runs a tourist guide agency For 15 cents you can get a map showing the road under the bn e so you can watch the trams pass jim Brown is now a famous chemist He just invented a serum to make the Russians say yes Carlalee Barmettlor after 15 years of study is a marvelous doctor She bought out Bennetts animal hospital and its a howling success Pat Choat has just been offered the position as editor of the New York Times She hinted that she might accept the offer Do you know that Tom Graham is runnmg for Congress? That is what we need in Washington some good crooked politics After many years as a criminal lawyer Carl Egenhoff decided to spend the last few years of his life dabblmg in local politics He is nmmng for city recorder His opponent, Gene Wlutlock believes he will win because women vote for the best looking man He sponsors a 15 minute program over KOOS and appeals to the women by playing a clarinet Wally Dunn is running for city treasurer It seems he has a fondness for getting his hands on money Bill Shattuck now has a gamblxng concession on the French Riviera He looks distinguished with a flashy mustache Oh. remmd me when its time for Tessies Tearless Troubles Dianna Dorius does a touching perfommance Roy Olson thought radio didnt do justice to his good looks so he went into television He leamed some new jokes and became a com edian Tomorrow I plan to shop in Coos Bay Ill go over on the Lee Curtis Flight Service He ran Gorst and King out of business Those who want to get out between stations furnish their own chutes I got a letter from Pat Groven Erwin yesterday She and Charles are raising lima beans and little Erwms rn California Did you know about the India medical mission of Kann Peterson and Mary Neumann Mary teaches the natives to swim and Karin teaches them to cook Irish stew Doris Byers has been a telegraph operator in Saudi Ara bla for 15 years She likes it so well that she is marrying an Arabian oil kmg Dick Frost is postmaster at the Empire postoffice with Frank Matson as his right hand man Frank delivers the parcel post packages Did you know that Keith Krambeal con tracted the last high school?
