A North Baltimore High School graduate. Miss Bechtel totaled 51 years of teaching, the last 46 at North Baltimore, before her retirement in 1964. Her desire to learn led her to attend five different educational institutions, Bowling Green State University, Ohio University, Miami University. Wooster College, and Findlay College. 3 Mr. Richard Harris is in his ninth year as superintendent of the North Baltimore Local Schools. While in this capacity, many improvements have oc- curred, namely, a new build- ing addition, more complete curriculum, larger staff, and several salary increases. He is a graduate of Ohio State University, Toledo U., and Bowling Green State Uni- versity. Thelma Lloyd is serving as secretary to Mr. Harris. She has held this position for four- teen years. 5 High School Principal Mr. Wayne Miller, principal at the high school, keeps the school operating smoothly and efficiently--yet he always has time to extend a friendly hand to students, faculty and visitors alike. Mr. Miller received his advanced education at Toledo University. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1955 and his Master of Education Degree in School Adminis- tration in 1962. 6 Always interested--Mrs. William Holloway serves as secretary to the high school principal. Guidance Counselor Mr. Raymond George helps to guide the students of North Balti- more High School in preparing their program of studies and assist- ing them in the academic phase of their high school lives. He attended Bowling Green State University and received a Master of Education Degree in Guidance from Toledo University. Elementary Principal Mr. Reed Oberholtzer is respon- sible for the supervision of the ele- mentary grades in the school system. He did his undergraduate work at Findlay College and received his Master of Education Degree from Toledo University. 7 Board of Education SEATED: President: Dr. C. B. The year is 1996, almost thirty years after graduation. Rick Broughton and his running mate, Jo Lee Hamlin, are nominees of the Bull Mouse Party, with Rod Rister and Beverly Kidd supplying the opposition. I learned this from mayor Barb Woodward. We were taken on a tour of the town by Joe Schneider, newly appointed police chief and Jim Spitler, one of the Midwests wealthiest bankers. N.B. had turned into a thriving metropolis of 200,000 people. Meeting the medi- cal needs of the people were Gary Holbein and Ed Heilman, owners of competing pharmacies. Connie Stephens and Linda Hardwick are practicing nurses for the town physicians, Joe Gerdeman and Greg Rister. I also learned that Jack Seibert and Wayne White had risen to great heights in the musical world. Continuing on our tour, we passed the newly constructed sports arena where Tom Dull and Bill Ross, known as Fremont the Great, are the undefeated tag team wrestling champions of the world. On a previous trip, I had seen Lee Hooloway and George Ebersole on their experi- mental farm on the moon. While there, we witnessed a basketball game in which Doug Ebright and Jim Thompson led the visiting Earth team to a resounding victory. Entering the newly established industrial park, 1 saw the Hanna and Straley Drum Factory, which was about to be taken over by Mary Troutner and Georgia Hoffsis. Next in sight was the Campbell, Kirchner Corporation, which was ready to replace GM as the world’s leading automotive manufacturer. By the way, GM is now run by the triumvirate of Janice Grimes, Dea Swartz, and Ann Benard. Passing from the park, I entered the fine arts pavilion, constructed by the engineer- ing firm of Vaughn, Simon, and McCartney. On display were paintings by the worlds greatest artist, Gloria Chapman. Noted pianist, Carl Calderhead, was appearing al- ternately with Connie Conine, a well established soprano. And where would the Gay Ninties be without the music of Bob Smith, conductor of the North Baltimore pops orchestra, working with the renowned tuba player, Chuck Bretz. To my dismay, I learned that Bob Grilliot, Bill Patterson, and Fred Thompson have just been drafted and sent overseas to help meet our commitment of 190 million men. Nancy Rayle and Carol Heller are also overseas, having replaced General Chuck Thompson. I learned this from Renee Tatham, editor of the N.B. Herald Tribune. While viewing the business district, I decided to lunch at a fabulous Ron Moening restaurant, of which there are now over 1000. Jean King, Vickie Lindquist, and Deanna McCartney are running a beauty salon, next to Nancy Barringer's Pizza Palace. From the N.B. launching pad, Dick DeWulf was being sent to an expedition on Mars. Nancy Davis and Donna Diebert are the new U.N. representatives, where Kay Smith is Secretary-General. As I left the city, I was presented a key by Mrs. North Baltimore, Virginia Clayton. As I boarded the outgoing jet clipper, I was greeted by the pilot, Diane Foltz. 27 Senior Class Will We, the members of the class of 1967, do hereby make our last will and testament to the underclassmen. The 1966-1967 school year has been a very pros- perous year for the North Baltimore High School Band. They had a very rigorous and active march- ing band schedule during the summer months, and presented several well precisioned marching routines during the football season. The band also achieved the highest rating possible at the District band con- test held at Rogers High School in Toledo. They went into state competition in Columbus and came home with a superior rating, the highest possible rating which can be obtained in state competition. 74 Junior High Band ROW 1 - Tom Welch, Jay Aikens, Sue Bechtel, Pam Parsons, Jill Shaffer, Larry McGrain, ROW 2 - Terry Ham- lin, Cathy Smith, Sandy Smith, Jan Shaffer, Pam Sterling, Betty Campbell, Terie Trout, Debbie Seibert, Diane Boney, ROW 3 - Judy McCartney, Rick Frost, Jim VanSeghbroeck, Donna Barringer, Jean Baltz, Joan Buchanan, Steve Tong, Barbara Toth, Bobbie Lloyd, Betty Lloyd, ROW 4 - Donna Apple, Patti Blake, Bill Clayton, Bill Stockwell, Dave Wier, Laddie Norris, Debby Snyder Elementary Band ROW 1 - Martha Eninger, Pam Mumy, Mary Lou Basil, Caprice Cheney, David Hoffsis, Jeff Brown, ROW 2 - Evonne Waaland, Cindy Holloway, Renee Griffith, Diane Nungester, Sue Richards, Sally Wheeler, Sue Kauf- man, Mary Beth Seiber ROW 3 - Ed Hutchison, Bob Blake, Charles Norris, Jeff Miklovic, Lynn Phillips, Ed Nugent, David Kuhlman ROW 4 - Neal White, John McCartney, Rich Harris, Trry Herringshaw, Mary Conine, Nancy Campbell, Cindy Kendall, Judy Winner, Rose Mary VonSeghbroeck 75 Senior ROW 1 - Norma Swartz, Jo Lee Hamlin, Jane Winner, Millie Speir, Sharon Franks, Cathy Swope, and Nancy Bishop.
