Your loneliness, the while. I would not have you sorrowful and sad, But joyously recall The glorious companionship we've had and thank God for it all. Don't let your face grow tear-streaked, pale and wan; Have heart for mirth and song; Rejoice, though for a little time I've gone. That I was here so long. E. A, C. MRS. May 3, 1966 Dear Joyce, This is just a line to remind you of the class reunion May 30, at the North Baltimore Park. I thought I might bring you up to date on the class of '56. My heartiest congratulations on being elected Executive Head of The World Literary Guild. I received a card from Bruce Overmier yesterday saying, he won’t be able to come due to the Stock Market crash which left him penniless. It was postmarked THE POORHOUSE. Poor fellow, lost about a million I hear. Did you know Mary Deter is head designer for the Janzen Clothing Company? Have you heard from Jim Carles lately? I understand that he is making grass skirts over in Hawaii. Helen Rayle and her husband Jim Reynolds are in Japan running their own hotel. Here in New York, Frances Ives and Juanita Lloyd are both successful secretaries in my office, vice president of the Kroger Company. I wish you could have been here for Nancy Gardner and Bunk Gerdeman’s wedding last fall. It was the social event of the year. After the wedding, Bunk was nursed through a case of indigestion by Helen Copus and Janet Mincks who now head their own hospital. Gary Shafer is now the manager of the JOHN DETER ESTABLISHMENT on West State Street. From what I read in the newspaper Theresa B. is living up to her old reputation, still looking for the PERFECT MAN. Dennis Higley is leading a revolution against the King of Spain. It seems Nancy Buchanan refused to marry Prince Zing after he gave her the family jewels and she won’t give them back. Lois Reichenbach is the editor of a San Francisco newspaper, and Marlene McCartney is her Co-editor. Larry Boudrie is the new President of U.C.L. A., and while I was in California, I ran across Ned Apple directing a film starring Mable Moberly and Shirley Haskins. Darlene Mumy is head wardrobe mistress now. She always was handy with a needle and thread. This reunion should be a huge success, for Ned Casey, President of the FORD MOTOR COMPANY, is going to give away a new Ford as a door prize. John Dermer said he would furnish the drinks. He’s the new distributer for the Universal Ale Company. Sounds like fun. Huh!! Dave Hutson tells me that he and Paul Miller are now investment brokers on Wall Street. I wonder if that is how Bruce lost all his money. I paid Herb Sweebe and Jim Judd a visit today. They operate the biggest bookie syndicate in this state. I had to forfeit a grand to them for last week’s wager. Shirley McCartney, Sophia Sesok and Maxine Cook are all married now. Jack Monasmith, Dave Connor, Bill Carlton, and Evert Ackerman are still going to college, I wonder what they are taking up. Could it be the study of the female mind? If so, they will never master the subject. Ernie Hoover has one of the biggest suction businesses I have ever seen. He is president of the HOOVER VACUM CLEANER COMPANY. Mick Leaf is one of the city cops back home in good old N.B. They tell me Jerry Rensch is the owner of the Food Center and Dan Mills is still carry- out boy. I must close for now, we can talk more at the reunion. Ted CLASSE ' B. BLACKMAN A. MULLHOLAND P. SWARTZ V. HEMMINGER R. MOOR J. MALLOW B. STRALEY F. NIER W. CURLIS G. CLARK M. DUKES E.
