D The courses offered by teachers pictured here range from the history of modern painting to the mechanical functioning of a car. Industrial Art prepares boys for employment beginning right after graduation. It also helps prepare boys who are interested in the further study of architecture and engineering, for pursuing careers in these fields. Art helps many talented students to express themselves through painting, sculpture, and de- sign. The work of these students often exhibited in the halls throughout the year is a steady source of enjoyment. Home Economics If girls in home economics classes learn how to keep from sticking themselves when they are pinning up a hem, they also learn how to keep from getting stuck when they arelchoosing a dress or a hairstyle or a range or a rug or a roast. Chances are that the young men these damsels marry won't feel stuck either, since they'll be acquiring partners with domestic ex- perience and skill. In short these courses are designed not only to teach a girl all that is required to become a good wife and mother, but they assist her to become an assured, well-groomed lady as well. MRS.
