Basketball Once again as the leaping excitement of the gymnasiu bleachers reached its summit and a profusion of spectato crammed the courts, the North Babylon Cagemen opened a other season. ln their fourth year of play the varsity under Coach Brenda lVIcCann,s leadership finished of 4-14 and a 3-11 League the season with an overall reco A-1 record finishing in seven position in the league. I52 Wref Beginning their third year of Varsity competition, the North Babylon Grapplers accepted the challenge of their strong AAI league competitors. Faced with the loss of many experienced wrestlers, the team,s hopes were pinned on needed support from the underclassmen. Under the leadership of Head Coach Harold Mahoney the team ended its season with an overall 7-4 record and a 6-1 league record, finishing in seventh place posi- tion in league standings. Throughout the entire season the Torma brothers showed outstanding performances which gained for them exceptional records. Steve ended the season with a 10-1 record while Tom finished with a 9-1-1 record. ln the AAI league tournaments Tom Torma won second place Tom Torma applies two on one on Norman Shaw.
