Photographs of editors, staff, and -ontributors. a separate art section, and printing done by the school's new offset press are among the --hanges. and student opinion has pronounced them to be effective. Under the direction of Editor-in-chief Patricia Kenneley, with faculty advisors Mr. Vincent Corgone and Mrs. Ann Cunningham, providing supervision. The highest accolade that can be given to a high school student is membership in the National Honor Society. Students who satisfy the criteria of scholar- ship, character, leadership, and service are formally in- ducted into membership at either of two solemn and impressive ceremonies held in the fall and in the spring of each year. This year, in addition to conducting the annual ceremonies, the North Babylon Chapter of the National Honor Society served as host for delegates from a large number of Suffolk County chapters at a luncheon held at the Southward-Ho Country Club. Two prosperous cake sales helped put on the Senior-Alumni Christmas Dance and finance a trip to New York to see a musical and have dinner at one of the city's better restaurants. Soon after the final deadline of The BLAZER, the spring induction was held, at which juniors as well as seniors were granted membership. To those students, although it is impossible to include their pictures, trib- ute should nevertheless be paid for achieving this sig- nal honor. Seniors chosen for the honor were: Theresa Artaserse, Mary Burke, Leslie Jackson, Carolene Kuczkowski, Ruby Wheeler, Eleanor Winkler, and Frances Culotta. The juniors who earned the distinction were: Mar- garet Bannard, Marie Brunkhorst, Amielia Cariello, Robert Cassidy, Edward Cordes, Anne Eppig, Howard Green, Rachela Guercio, Marilyn Mincey, Susan Mor- ris, Sheila Predmore, William Prin, Mike Rizzo and Suzanne Vardon.
