TRUSTEES To the Seniors: At the end of each year every businessman follows the age-old custom of inventorying and appraising the assets of his busi- ness. By so doing it is possible to know the condition of his business and the results of its operation. Upon being graduated from North Augusta High School next June, it would be well for each of you to take inventory of your personal assets and liabilities, your good qualities and your shortcomings. Calmly and honestly appraise yourself and ask yourself what you have to offer the world, and not what the world has to offer you. Have you taken advantage of the opportunity to obtain an education to prepare for your chosen business or profes- sion? Have you been fair and honest in your dealings with everyone? Have your personal habits improved, or are you weaker from dissipation and improper habits? Ask yourself if you welcome responsibility or if you prefer to let another person do the job. Have you made a determined effort to be agreeable with your fellow man and are you helpful and co- operative? When you have thus seen yourself as others see you, choose a course to follow in the future and bend every effort toward accomplishing your aim. Remember that no matter what you may undertake after being graduated, there is only one purpose in life-happiness. Remember, too, that happiness comes only from the conscious pursuit of a worthy purpose and that there is only one worthy purpose in life, namely, to make life better for someone else.
