- I The sun rises as the yellow buses begin to roll. By seven thirty, you ' re half asleep on the way to Landry Avenue. You get to school, still tired from last night ' s homework or Saturday night ' s party, and you know its going to be a long day until 2:05 PM. You usually can grab a quick breakfast at the snack bar. You ' ve got time to taik with your friends, and relax during your free time. But as the day wears on, its not that bad; the teachers are tired, too, so they don ' t give you too much homework. The final bell rings, just iike any other bell, but you know its 2:05. The red sun shines through the cafeteria glass. The day, like any other day, is over. Perhaps something special happened, perhaps not. You ' re kind of tired and the yellow buses are back again to take you home from what you experienced that day at North High.
