OY!β Hai-Karate 76 77 Where???ββ ?o 79 o $β D o Mrs. Nimiroski Retiring head of North Attleboro School Lunch Program 81 It is common today for an adult to have an opinion on almost everything and to express that opinion in the form of advice to others whether it is solicited or not. Society feeds upon opinion, often substituting it for fact, and erroneously attempts to educate itself by this process. I am wary of giving unsolicited advice to the senior class. Being obliged to say something, however, I shall make the following observation. We hear much about the moral problems of βtoday.β I believe the βmoral problemsβ are the same for all times and all men. Every culture has specific moral problems which grow out of its partic- ular structure, although these specific problems are only various facets of the moral problems of βman.β I believe our moral problem is manβs indifference to himself. It lies in the fact that we have lost the sense of the significance and uniqueness of the indi- vidual, that we have made ourselves into instruments for purposes outside ourselves. We have become alienated from each other because we have become alienated from ourselves. As long as anyone believes that his ideal and pur- pose is outside him, he will go outside himself and seek fulfillment where it cannot be found. He will look for solutions and answers at every point except where they can be found β in himself. Neither the good nor the evil outcome is automatic or preordained. The decision rests with man and his ability to take himself, his life and happiness seri- ously. Manβs moral problem lies within himself. The resolution of his problem rests upon his courage to be himself. MR. WILLIAM KELLY 82 Principal of North Attleboro High Schoo LOUIS D. KELLEY You are a group of unique human beings capable of making a special contribution to your town and community. Congratulations on being fortunate enough to have parents, teachers and administrators who care deeply about you. I donβt have to tell you what the future holds for you. You realize that life has responsi- bilities as well as rewards, failures as well as successes, tragedies as well as joys. I am confident that your special qualities will lead you to success and happiness. Best of luck. Administration RICHARD W. BLAZO Assistant Superintendent RICHARD L.
