-, uttutuuuuuus Hsu - 35 lt was about 4 A M on Monday December 26 that Mr Zahuran sky teacher ot physucal education and health at our hugh school passed away Born un Wallungton Mr Zahuransky was a graduate ot East Ruther ford Hugh School He capta ned the hugh school s football and track teams and later played football at Panzer and Upsala College un East Orange He also attended Penn State College Prior to hus coming to North Arlington Mr Zahuransky taught position was here at North Arlington where he had been an instructor in physucal education and socual science for seventeen years During that tume he pioneered in developing an athletuc program under adverse condutuons The friends that Mr Zahuransky made among students and teachers at North Arlungton and residents ot hus own communuty were many During the war he answered the call to serve hus country in the Navy He was an instructor un the Navy s physical tutness program spend ung tume un thus capacuty at Hunter College He was later transferred to sea duty and spent two years un the South Pacific at Pearl Harbor He was honorably discharged wuth a chief petty ottucer s ratung Because of the outstanding service he rendered hus school hus com munuty and hus country we trust that God will have mercy on hus soul We pray that he may luve to enuoy eternal life with God un the company of hus angels and saints and that he has heard spoken ot hum the words of Chrust his tunal judge Well done good and faithful servant Enter thou unto the joy ofthe Lord In IVXGIIIOIIEIIII a lurans ey ,f - physical education in Clifton and Wallington Schools.
