Richard Lange Emily Thatcher — The mother; patient, good-natured and tolerant . Karin Roebuck Kimball Thatcher —An intelligent lad of seventeen, with an inventive turn of mind ....James Valliere Dorothy Thatcher — Earl’s wife. Pretty, but opinionated .
