T' '-l SOCIAL Sept. 5, '22. A reception was given for the teachers at the Congre- gational Church for the porpose of getting acquainted with all our new teachers. Many attended and all enjoyed a fine evening. Refreshments were served which always draws a crowd. Sept. 12. '22. Senior and Sophomore flag was made on this said night by Ethel Caskey and Geraldine Cox. Herbert Holkins and George Alfred Lynch found their way to the Rickard home and behold to their delight the flag was ready to put up in sight. The four said persons above mentioned neared the school building with very much shyness. All on account of the hours and all being afraid of the dark. The flag and the two boys made their way to the belfrey, while the girls sat on the board sidewalk watching. The flag reached its place of highness and stay- ed for twenty-two hours. Sept. 14, '22. Freshmen and Junior flag went up. The graduates. to be, thinking the right thing to do was to let the underclassmen have their flag up for only four hours. While in the struggle it was kept up longer. Two of the boys were kept in the belfrey for a time. To cap the climax a little damage was done. to the school property. The fun at once ceased and the next would like to have been a striking event rath- er than a threatening one. Sept. 25---30. Free motion pictures were shown at the Educa- tional building at the Hillsdale County Fair. A stand was placed in the building. selling ice cream and cold pop for the purpose of purchasing a motion picture machine for the High School. Oct. 6, '22. The Freshmen returned a reception to the Sopho- mores. The reception was held at Kieth Williams. Games were played and after everyone had had an enjoyable time refreshments were served. Oct. 10, '22. Miss Frances Young entertained a group of six of her companions at a fudge party. Oct. 17. '22, A box social was held at the Congregational Church for the benefit of the Athletic Association. Many of the boys opened their hearts and bought more than one box. Oct. 28, '22. A Hallowe'en party was given by the Senior Class of '23 at the home of Geraldine Cox. Ghost stories were told and among many other things the Owl Lodge was organized. Nov. 6. '22. The first of the most successful meetings was held at the High School building. This was named the Parent and Patron's As- sociation. The officers were elected and the by-laws set forth. Nov. 7, '22. A motion picture show was given at M. E. Church. lp I-..

Nov. 10. '22. A party was given exclusively for High School stu- dents at Lynch's hall. Not a very late hour was held and some returned home soon after they came. Nov. lil. '22. A motion picture show at Congregational Church. Nov. 21, '22. A motion picture show at the NI. E. Church. Nov. 23, '22. The Senior girls gave a very interesting program at the High School of a Sewing Circle of 1950. We will always remember how they looked then. I wonder how much different we will look in '50. Dec. 5, '22, A motion picture show was given at M. E. Church. Dec. 16, '22. Senior Class gave a motion picture show at the Con- gregational Church for making money. A very small crowd was present and instead of putting money into the treasury. some had to be drawn out to pay expenses. Dec. 22, '22. A home talent, Betty's Dilemma was given at the opera house. The play turned out to be a success under the directorship of Miss Holland from Hillsdale College. Jan. 3, '23. A coasting party was held by a group of High School students. south of town. Jan. 9, '23. A movie was given at the High School. Was attended by a very small per cent of the town people. Feb. 19, '23. A parent and patron meeting was held at the High School. The main topic discussed was Consolidated School. Feb. 22. '23. A Washington and Lincoln program was given at the lligh School. A very large crowd attended and all enjoyed a pleasant evening. Har. 1, '23. Last evening. Feb. 28. Mr. Ralph Wolcott and Mr. James Nleeks entertained the two Y sisters. A part of the evening was spent in playing live hundred. with light refreshments of fudge after an oyster supper. Haw oysters and fudge. Oh Boy. C Mar. 22. '23, The Winmore Class of the Congregational Church along with a few visitors enjoyed a very nice time. Refreshments were served and games were played. All returned at an early hour. Y
