I wonder who this is from. The postmark is New York. It is pecu- liar that I don't remember any of my classmates who have gone there. It is from Edna Fry. She says she is in the large department store of 'Buy- SL Sellem. She started as a cloak model, and has gradually worked up to her present position, that of manager of the buying departments. Here is a newspaper slip. Lloyd McLaughlin the second Democratic president from the state of Michigan, will take a brief respite from his White House labors. to be spent on the golf links in Florida. During his stay there he will be entertained by Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Johnston, old acquaintances of his. It is funny how some people advancein this worldg but then he was very grave and thoughtful even in High School. This is from Edith Fry. It seems to me that I remember something about her but some way I cannot place her. Oh to be sure. She is a newspaper reporter. on the Herald and Examiner. She has won great success in writing up scandal. Takes a woman for that. I am enclosing some of my latest news, not yet printed, that I think might interest you. By the way, you must see the latest theatre act. It is becoming popular all over the states. It is put on by Berniece Doty, who you surely re- member. Quite a responsible position for her, I should think. I wonder what else she has to say. I have been fortutate enough to hear, from several of our classmates. Two are living in Detroit, Michigan. Dorothy Ambler is situated there as chief dispatch- er of the New York Central lines. That is all she said about her work. The other, Edna Moorehead. has turned to business for a living. She pro- fitably operates the rooms called The Moorehead Tonsorial Parlors and Manicuring Rooms. That reminds me of the Tonsorial Parlors Will VanAken use to run. You would think it was Wall street, to hear the men talk politics there. Is that all of my classmates? It don't seem possible. Oh to be sure. I wonder what has become of George Alfred Lynch? Maybe I have over- looked something. Yes, here is a newspaper slip that tells something about him. Marvelous escape of former North Adams lad.
