THE FRENCH CONNECTION The Norte Vista French Club (1977-78) is making tracks to create a French experi- ence for its members. From room 38 they venture into the far reaches of Ports O ' Call, charter a private jet (courtesy of Alvord Airlines) for a special screening of a French Film in Beverly Hills, even sail the ocean in the Vice President ' s yacht . And if the club can ' t get there, room 38 is transformed- as in the case of Mardi Gras and the Carnava! de Nice , or a winter fondue party in the French Alps . All of this is great experience for tvk ' o members in particular, Vicki Farmer and Sandy Ruse, who will be going to Europe this summer. BACKPACKERS GET HIGH ON MOUNTAINS The Backpacking Club was formed last year for the pur- pose of enjoying the wilderness together, and for just plain fun. So far, the club has succeeded in both. C.S.F. Fantastic The ' 77- ' 7 CSF was very successful this year. Besides their semi-annual Pot Luck for parents and teachers, they also raised money by selling candy. In February, they attended CSF night at Disneyland. This year ' s club acted as director of the planning committee of the CSF Conference. In April, some members participated in the conference. With the help of Dr. Ryan, the Novi CSF really proved their motto, Scholarship For Service .
