PRINCESS CANDIDATES: Frances Scott, Benny Jo Watkins, Pat Frazier, Laura Martinez. The Junior Class selected Manhattan Mood as the theme of their prom. The theme was carried into the decorations by using old fashioned lamp posts and a blue false ceiling, The tables were covered with red and blue checkered table clothes. For the first time the prom was held in the girI's gym, instead of the Amber Room as in previous years.

FALL AND SPRING PLAYS The fall play presented by Norte's drama department was billed as a double feature. One of the two plays presented was a comedy entitled Sunday Costs Five Pesos. The second feature, Mother Was lndiscreet , was written by our own drama director, Mr. Liebert. Pictured here are the stars, Al Biancani and Kathy Motranga, rehearsing a scene from that play. Front: Linda Hines, second row: Cheryl Smith, Front, left to right, Rachel Alva, Dora Mueda, Pat Hall, center: Ron Mattilla. Charlotte Myers, Carol Aney, Bev Threlkel, back Joyce Todd. The spring play was based on the famous Shakespearian comedy The Taming of the Shrew. After revising the play, Mr. Liebert named it The Taming of Tillie.
