A N . i IHIJ The Program Juv L 'win The Coach The LL HU SE ND the curtain came down on the third and last performance of the Senior Class production, A FULL HOUSE. Three hugely appreciative audiences had enjoyed to the ut- most Fred Jackson's comedy as interpreted by the Norristown Senior High Cast. The production's cast was a select group chosen after much studied consideration. But success was the gleaming crown rewarded for the casting officers, for never before had the boards of Stewart Junior High School borne so brilliant a group in such a rib-tickling farce. Following the choice of the players, months of laborious re- hearsal ensued, and under the skillful hands of Coach Addison J. Allen a shining performance, gleaming with perfection, was moulded into shape. The plot of the play was a bit involved, but not particularly remarkable. The rich humour of the comedy was softened and thrown into sharp contrast by love in bloom and was given that certain spicy flavor by a cleverly organized mystery. Cast in a new role, Bob Knobler portrayed the crooked slickster in a streamlined manner. Hearts throbbed when blue- eyed Bob Cialligan made love to demure Lillian Hessan. Comedy was centered in the English butler, Walt Wagen- hurst, and in Jane Oberholtzer, a Scandinavian maid with a perpetually surprised expression who had but one ambition-to return to Sioux City. Arthur Harley played the part of a dumb policeman, a one way turnstile who was responsible for the full house. He could say but nine words: You can come in, but you can't go out! Musical director Damon Holton supervised the musical background of the production. players Hessan, Galligan, Wagenhurst, Finley, Harley lkneelingl, Leach, Knobler, White, Ober- holtzer, Shaw, Maxwell, Townsend TWENTY-THREE :T , 3, -I D - 7:1 'EQQQE Q'--iEi f v,,,.g,':: , 'lLf'4' fb 'QP-EI' 5' ' 1521'- . .,.,. f -were E -M530 1. -'qiili fy . Singing, led by Mrs. Ashenfelter, added to the enjoyment of dinner, each table endeavoring to outdo the rest in volume. The tables were graced by large bowls of white carnations, and the place favors were silver charms bearing the class emblem. After dinner the gaily decked banquet hall was transformed into a para- dise for dancers, who indulged in every form of that art from the Old-fash- ioned Waltz to the Big Apple. Bill Smith and his Blue Aces supplied plenty of rhythm, and several class members entertained delightfully at intermission. The Senior Banquet is past, but will always remain as one of the grandest memories of the Class of '38.
