Miss Buddenbaum and Mr. Newcomb We entered N. C. T. H. S. two years ago, August, 1946. We were known as the timid little souls. The class boasted an enrollment of seventy-seven students, which is the largest class to enter in recent years. But by our Sophomore year the enrollment had decreased to sixty members. This year the Junior Class has fifty-nine members and our major project has been the Junior- Senior Prom. We are represented on the Student Council by Carolyn Bruce, Evelyn Martin, and Ruel Weas. We are very proud of the Junior boys on the basketball team. Our class members on the varsity team are Bernard Hughes, Carl Dixon, Carl Dean Johnson, and Vearl Lack. Two of our class members are on the Junior Varsity: Harold Hughes and Paul Carroll. The Junior Class is represented in the Pep Club by Cheerleader Betty Lou Bonham. Eight members who are on the Cardinal Staff are: Carolyn Bruce, Kathleen Bryant, June Edwards, Janice Mills- paugh, Bernard Hughes, Sammy Joe Wallace, Ruel Weas and Bob Holtzclaw. Our Junior Class, as well as the whole school, was saddened by the death of an outstanding student, Pauline Trusty, on February 24, 1949. Ours is the largest class in school and is a very capable group directed by efficient and loyal sponsors.
