f e ua ue of eclucafion T THE Senior High School, the officials subscribed wholeheartedly to the stated philosophy of the district. They realized, how- ever, that at the secondary level pupils need more specialization than do those in the ele- mentary schools. Mr. Potter, the principal, wanted to make the high school one of the best. He stated While striving to maintain the academic standards necessary for college, the high school must provide terminal education for those who wish to work after graduation. I am proud of the accomplishments made and of the high standards required. Mr. Bergmann, the assistant principal, had the duty of disciplining the pupils. He Said, Self discipline is best. Students should be taught sell control so that they can Success- fully handle all situations. This can be learned in the Senior school. Mr. Blitz, of the Guidance office, tried to treat the students as individuals. Each was C. E. POTTER, B.S., M.A. Przncipgl Senior High School urged to seek advice from his counselor in planning a program that would lit his particf ular needs, interests, and abilities. Mr. Blitz explained, This office will serve best when the pupil comes of his own volition rather than by teacher assignment.
