The student center buzzed with ex- citement during enrollment the last three days of August. 1EGINS School had started! The first weeks of school were devoted almost entirely to adjust- ment to a new building and new faces. Every Senior began the year with a feeling of owning the school, every Junior with a feel- ing of belonging and every Sophomore with a feeling of bewilderment. The first thing confronting the students was enrollment. To many it was a time of fun, but also to many it was a time for serious thinking. Next came the Howdy Hop, a time of dancing and getting to know everyone. On October 21, students served as guides for their parents at Norman High’s Open House. Vicki Raymond, Linda Dumas, Mary Martha Miles, and Veronia Farabcc look apprehensively at their schedules for the 1963-64 school year. 23
