Vocational Courses Prepare Students Of the courses offered at NHS, Vocational courses prepare the students for the outside world of business and financial management. They help students to learn to cooperate with others, be dependable in leadership and in service. The new labs develop a strong proficiency in speaking the language, and enable the teacher to discover the individual student’s difficulties. During a tense moment, Coach Gene Corrotto anxiously awaits the outcome of an NHS goal attempt. Three of a kind, Coaches Bob Williams, Bert Corr and Chet Bryan happily discuss their teams’ many victories. Among other activities, the Chorus sings for many organizations in the Norman area. The Speech classes make use of the auditorium regularly, practicing volume speak- ing. Our Band brings home many honors from the contests they attend. Nearly every day one can hear the grunts and groans of the students in the Physical Education Department, while they are working toward the goal of complete physical fitness. 18
