“YVc arc the Tigers and we arc the best!” The pep club shows some of Norman’s Untamable Tiger Spirit at a pep assembly. chance to legally chase boys. As always, many deserving students were chosen for Who’s Who every six weeks. The Untamable Tiger Spirit reached its great- est height this year as crowds at all sporting events flourished. Our pep club, the Ginger- snaps, was bigger and better than ever. They were led by extraordinary cheerleaders and of- ficers. Their pep assemblies added extra zest to the week. The “N” Club also enjoyed a bigger and better year. All our Tiger Teams brought honor to NHS throughout their many victories and good sportsmanship. The football team had a very successful season with nine outstand- ing victories. Basketball and wrestling also gave more than their share of glory to Norman High as did the track, baseball and swimming teams. The fabulous prom, presented to the Seniors by the hardworking Junior Class, was the be- ginning of the end of a wonderful year. Gradu- ation was the end. As the Seniors left the halls of Norman High School for the final time, they left behind them a never-to-be-forgotten Trail of Memories. “Oh Susan, I really don’t think you will catch any fish in there.” Sandra Busch wisely remarks to Susan Early as Jacquc Wallace and Linda Stangle work diligently in the background. “. . . then .Mr. Griffin yelled at me just because 1 didn’t know the cxccllcrator from the brake!” wails Susan Hallam while Susie Ivy, Gay Clark, and Karen Bramlctt listen to her problems. Enrollment marked the first step into NHS for the anxious Sophomores, the middle-of-the-road for the Juniors, and the last lap for the soon-to-bc-lcaving Seniors. 1'cachers and enrolling students arc Mrs. Smith, Barbara Morgan, Mr. Voting, Kathy Kuhlman, Judy Anderson, Carol Donnell, and Carol Chipman.

Trail Of Memories . . . and the ‘sisty-uglcrs’ arc off to the ball.” The si. graces, who arc our cheerleaders, clown around at the Ardmore jiop assembly. “They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Here is the picture, so make up your own thousand words.” Subjects for this indescrib- able masterpiece are Tim Payne, David Overstreet, YVicky Burrow, Jimmy Stewart, and Butch Milan. This year Norman High School reached high goals and made many wonderful memories for every student. Whether you were just begin- ning your years at Norman High, looking back over one year and forward to the next, or making your last journey through the home of the Tigers; this section will recall for you that won- derful year 1962-63. The first all school party, the Howdy Hop, left all concerned with a new feeling of com- patibility. The Speech II play, “The Man Who Came to Dinner,” was deemed a success by all who saw it. The Tiger Twistin’ Twenties Party and the Junior Surprise Party were fun for everyone. The Holidays were celebrated by assemblies, a dress-up day, and an exceptional Christmas Dance. Semester finals came while everyone wondered in amazement how the first semester had gone so fast. The All-Sports Queen and All-School Queen coronations were the most beautiful ever. “The Music Man,” the all school musical, was expertly done as was the Senior Class Play. “Now-or-Ncver” Week was only one of manv Student Council sponsored activities during the year. It gave all girls a “I’m gonna get on my pony ami ride . . .” Cherry Kay Griffith and Quentin Rcmy “rock it out at the Howdy Hop.

“Twenty-two skidoo to you, too, Boo Boo.” Cheryl Craig and Basil Hurry were just two of the many who had a great time at the Tiger’s Twistin’ Twenties Party. “What a break! Here I stand surrounded by all these beautiful dames, and I end up with the runt.” Terry Craig and Dean Veal wait for their cue in the coronation. They arc surrounded bv Lynda Todd, Bobbi Jones, Karol Veal, and Judy Anderson. Fun and Games “Frank, if you don’t nominate me the next time, we’re through.” All in fun and lots of fun, the coronation was a complete success. “You guys, let’s just give up and buy one of those aluminum jobs.” The “N” Club met with many obstacles, but the finished product was a beautiful Christmas tree for N.H.S. “I sure wish 1 could have a mummy like that!” Sandy Seals gives Matty Nelson the “evil eye” during a scene from “The Man Who Cante to Dinner.”
