-f THE THEME The creation of a memory is fashioned by many hands. The memory of the year 1958-1959 has been built by an abundance of special events. The cries of victory echo as the Norman football team placed second in the Boomer conference. The basketball team remaining undefeated in conference play, went on to win the state championship. A burst of spirit was shown in en- thusiastic support of each class Trail queen candidate and Juniors determined to have the best prom. A proud band attended the Orange Bowl. The Seniors filled their time with the excitement that only the last year can bring. HONORS ... 98 the hope, fear, pride, and excitement of living, flood back. One sensation, greater than all the rest, shines like a bright star in a velvety sky—that of a special time, a special place, a special thing that brightens into something far greater—a very special year.

MISS FLORENCE PEVEHOUSE Dedication it As we finish the last chapters of a year, we pause to think of a very special person, a person whose qualities have given her the love and honor of Norman High. As a teacher, she is an inspiration. Her efforts have brought scholarship and have kindled the excitement of learning. As a leader, she is an ideal. Under her care has grown the largest organization in our school and within it glows the spirit she has given meaning to. As a person, she is a symbol, a symbol of unselfish generosity to people. Without reserve she has given her all to Norman High. And so with love and pride, we salute and dedicate this 1959 Trail to Miss Florence Pevehousc. , % ■fr [7]
