S 'Q Dear Dlary It ms hard to belreve that our senmor year LS gone and that we are actually crosslng the frnal stepprng stone rnto the future It IS wlth rruxed emotlons that we say our flnal good bye and retrace our steps through the four eventful years spent ln the halls of N H S As freshmen we gazed ln admlratmon at the b1g semors and felt honored when they answered our many questlons At fmrst we were fmlled wlth bewllder ment for everythlng around us was new and excrtmg As the year slowly dled and fall turned mnto wlnter and wmter turned xnto sprmg we began to gamn more and more confmdence We experrenced the f1rst of many thxngs whlch were la ter to become a defxmte part of our hlgh school llfe pep ralhes games dan ces class plays convocatlons and pxcmcs And before we knew lt we were sophomores No longer could we be pushed around by the other kxds No longer could we be looked down upon and consldered 'th1ngs lnstead of human be1ngs Conslderlng ourselves qulte xmportant w took an actlve part mn all school act1v1t1es and the year sllpped by so fast that we could hardly belxeve we were Jumors Upperclassrnen' We had hardly grven any thought to thxs word before Now we consldered mt about the most Lmportant word Ln the Enghsh language So many new thlngs happened durmng that year We took part ln County Government Day our own class play the Hare and Hound race Qwhxch we tredj and the detamled planmng of the prom of whrch the theme was 'Heaven On Earth Our class was represented at Glrls and Boys States by very deservxng students Smce we were so busy the year sped by ln no tmme We were semors' It IS hard to descrlbe our feelmgs as we serlously thought about thls In many ways we were anxlous to graduate and to get out on our own 1nto the world so full of opportun1t1es But we could not help remembermg all the great frlends we had made Our semor year was a busy one ln fact pro bably the buslest of all We won the Hare and Hound race and were glven a mar velous prom by the Jumors Our class play wmll long be remembered by all of us As the year sllpped by we came closer and closer to graduatxon Many plans were made and Ldeas of college marrrage or worklng were carefully studxed Suddenly the curtaln came down upon the frnal act of our hlgh school career I tears we looked back over all the happy tlmes and unforgetable memorles f the past four years Now as we leave our halls of 1vy to travel farther down the path of l1fe we sadly say farewell to the school whlch wlll always remaln among our most cher1shed memorles THE SENIORS 14 'X 9 I f a a s I ' 1 1 . . . . -- . , , - a 1 s - , . . , E 2 a ' s 3 D . .
