S£NWR CLASS As the '58 graduates look back over their years in NHS, many wonderful memories come to mind. As the school year began in 1954. they were all a little frightened but very optimistic about entering high school. They carried this optimism all through their high school career, striving to make their class one of the finest ever. As they became familiar with the teachers, other students, and rules of the school, they participated in sports, debate, music. Y-clubs, cheerleading, dramatics, and journalism. They ended their first year with the fun-filled freshman class picnic. As sophomores they entered eagerly into the spirit of things, helping serve at the prom and clsoing the year with a picnic which they shall never forget. As juniors their optimism was only slightly shattered by their defeat in the Hare and Hound Race, but this did not stop them. Their class play, Room for One More, was outstanding. After much hard work and several near disasters, they presented a Junior-Senior Prom never to be forgotten, featuring Symphony of Spring. Representatives chosen for Boys' and Girls’ State included Tim Schreiner, Dwayne Strasheim, Virginia Bell, and Judy Skillstad. Their senior year began with the Hare and Hound Race which was declared a tie with the juniors. They also supported the wonderful class play, sneak day, and field day. Of course, they will never forget the wonderful prom given by the juniors. Finally their optimism led them to the coveted goal--Commencement. Thus, their days in NHS end, but the good foundation secured through these years is sure to lead them in the paths of success and happiness.

LOYD ADAMS possessed a fine sense of humor and was in his element when experimenting in the chem lab. Although quiet in speech and manner, KEITH BAUER had a host of friends. VIRGINIA BELL may best be remembered at the piano, but her activities were many and varied and she never had an idle moment. BOB BREE livened up many a dull classroom with his witty remarks and impish grin. M si . f; Quiet and modest, LARRY BEUTLER was always considerate and friendly. BARTLEY BRENNAN was a definite asset to the class of 1958, with his suave good looks and talent with the cornet. Tall, dark, and handsome, ROCKY BUFFUM covered a wealth of wit and amiability by his silence. Just give PEGGY BUSS a job to do and she was in her ele-ment;she was efficient, cheer-j„ful, and a loyal friend.
