CLASS OF '56 Four years ago, the Class of '56 took a big step when they entered the halls of N. H. S. as green but ambitious freshmen. They maintained this ambition throughout the years, striving to make their class one of the finest ever. As freshmen, they participated in many school activities, including die freshman class picnic, which was enjoyed by all. When they became sophomores, they gained confidence by participating more actively in sports, music, debate, Y-clubs, and cheerleading. Of course, they will always remember the fun at the sophomore picnic. As juniors they proved their power of endurance by tying the Hare and Hound Race. The year was filled with routine studying and school activities, including die hilarious presentation of WHAT A LIFE, their class play. Come to the Mardi Gras was the intriguing theme of a spectucular Jr. -Sr. Prom, sponsored oy this industrious class. Representatives to Girls' and Boys’ State were Keralyn Clark, Sandra Atkinson, Wayne Robertson, and Warren Danskin. A successful senior year opened with the Hare and Hound Race victory over the Juniors. Outof this class came a large share of an outstanding football team, with the rest of the class there to cheer them on to greater accomplishments. They supported not only sports, but band, choir, die Prom, Sneak Day, Field Day, Senior Day, their class play, and last but certainly not least, the coveted goal—Commencement. Tough as nails, hard as bricks? Yes, this was the CLASS OF '56. SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS: Shirley Weston, treasurer; Tim Adams, vice president; Wayne Robertson, president; Janis De Vore, Secretary
