Senior Class On September 3, 1951, the class of ’55 entered the halls of NHS to embark upon methods of higher learning. As freshmen they were green but nonetheless willing to learn. There were many participants to be found in the various school activities—band, glee clubs, choir, as well as football, basketball, and track. At the Freshman-Sophomore picnic, the class of '55 held their own. By the fall of their sophomore year, the class of '55 had proved themselves and eagerly joined in the spirit of NHS. They rang off the year by serving at the Junior-Senior Prom and participating in the Sophomore picnic. Then they were juniors and worthy of being called upperclassmen. The class play, Who Killed Aunt Caroline? proved a success and set the class of '55 as a great up-and-coming group. The Hare and Hound Race was lost cheerfully and closely. The Junior-Senior Prom proved a huge success with An Evening In Paris as its theme. Boys' and Girls' Staters were chosen—Jerry Sellentin, George Kessels, Barbara Siecke and Ann Hale. Then at last they were seniors and reigned over the school. The Hare and Hound Race was tied but proved to be fun anyway. The Homecoming Queen was Lynne Henning and Attendants, Marilynn Hash and Ann Hale. Field Day and Sneak Day were enjoyed by all. Now they are waiting to receive their diplomas which will ring down the curtain of their high school career.
