Each year these Milestone awards are given to two seniors chosen by a secret committee of faculty members and juniors. Leadership, character, scholarship, and participation in activities is the basis for the selection. mu, ne an Qirl Its no secret anymore! The outstanding girl and the outstanding boy of the 1954 graduating class are Joy and Gary. Their choice is certainly’ understandable and well deserved because both have been at the top in many different fields during their high school years. Joy s activities include four years as cheerleader, one of which she served as head cheerleader, Tri-Hi-Y President, choir. Junior Class Play, Class Officer’ and Homecoming Attendant. Gary has not only been outstanding in athletics, but has served on the Student Council for four years, been a member of the N Club, Hi-Y, and was elected to the Board of Awards. —27-
