Even slaving through physics or American history wasn't bad, because the juniors could look forward to the junior class play, the hare and hound race (even if they did lose), field day, and the climax to the whole year, the prom. What junior girl didn’t secretly dream about getting the part of Judy in the junior class play, “Junior Miss” — especialy Janis Dickinson, whose dreams came true. And what junior boy didn’t kick himself for not trying out for the romantic parts opposite Shirle Miller or Lois Gimbel?
