Jack Cole's Oi'- chestra furnished the music for dan- cing. Bingo entertained non-dancers. The prom queen, Margaret Ralston and her two attendants were presented, late in the evening, by Bob Farner. Sopho- more bovs dressed as clowns served as waiters and ushers. Some of the juniors who helped make the party the success it was are: Patty lierge and Diane llurlburt, co- chairmen of the decoration committee. Jackie Walker, Merna llest, Doris Lee, .-Xrleen Walker, Marion llrady, Noma Peters, Janet Garden, Earl lleed, Bob llrodhagen, lfawn Langenberg, and lloward Mather. The important job of seating the 250 people was given to Nancy Wolfe, chairman, Herdine Oreck- el and Leota Klug. The program committee was com- posed of Norma Dell Demaree, chair- man, Don linebel, Keith Pilger, Jane Womeldorf, Don Ballard, Jean Shaffer, Delores llowser and Loyd Shultz. ln order that we might give the seniors both a banquet and a prom, mothers of junior class members con- sented to prepare the food for the ban- quet, thus leaving adequate funds for a top-notch orchestra. The menu in- cluded baked ham, new potatoes in cream, buttered peas on rosettes, rad- ishes, rolls and butter, coffee, ice cream and cake. The banquet was held in the city auditorium on April 19. After three votes to decide on the de- sign, many Juniors bought class rings, HARMONY l'Ll'S .... Joe Toelle. Bob Whited, Dan Raasch. Keith Pilger, Russell Simpson. WHATS COOKING .... At the dawn ot' the second semester a new election was held with lliane llurl- burt and Patty lierge chosen to fill the jobs ot' secretary and treasurer, respec- tively. The N'Ergettes were: Patty lierge, Norma lJell Ilemaree, Diane llurlburt, Janet Garden, llenyce Mar- shall, .-Xrleen Walker, and Jacqueline Walker. Dan llaasch, Joe Toelle, llill Owen, Bob Whited, lion Knebel, Wayne llamilton, and Ward Gunsolley were Minute Men. The junior class took an active part in all sports, and can well be proud of such members as liob Farner, Doyle liusskohl, Marvin Christians, and Keith Pilger, all basket-tossing heroes of the basketball court. To complete a year filled with fun and excitement, we presented the an- nual spring party which few upper- classmen will ever forget. Under the gaily colored streamers oi' a circus tent, the juniors and seniors Q'?llll9l'0fl for the long-awaited banquet and brom. NUUCY Wolfe, as ringmaster, was in charge oi' the program. Ed llurgan gave a speech entitled The Big Top. l reaks was the name of Hob Whited's toast and Miss Clara Fhristensen spoke about The Animal Trainers. The speeches were interspersed by hot licks from the Swing liand, songs by the girls' trio, Janice Clark, Jean Graves and Farlene Miller, a ballroom dancing ex- SHORT UN SHORTHAND .... Miss Chapman dictates as Dawn Langenburg, Beverly Fenske, Edna lletgen. Leola Lederer. Mary Lou Palmer and Ruth Jensen take it down. BEAVTY N0 BOINIJS .... Josephine Sullivan.
