Upperclassmen at last! The long- .ll YIOR HEADS CON!-'ER .... as Nancy Wolfe, president Cl, 23, talks to Diane Hurlburt, secre- tary C23. Joe Farner, vice president Cl. 23. Doyle Husskohl, treasurer CI3. Patty Berge, treasurer C23. and Norma Demaree, secretary 113. Junior Class by Norma Dell Demaree awaited moment was finally here. Freshies, sophomores, and seniors alike were forced to recognize us as juniors. Thus the fall of '-1-1 saw one hundred sixteen sophisticates on hand to study, to play, and to keep up the school spirit. First on our social program was the llare and Hound race. Although it was a defeat for us twe were once within 75 yards of the quaking seniors3, we learned some yaluable tactics which will definitely assure us of a victory next year. Our scouts were Don Knebel, Dan Raasch, Bob Whited, Herman Schilling and Marv Christians. The starting point of the race was North Fourth Street. The alleged trail led to hay stacks in a field northeast of the start- ing place. The Hounds captured two of our runners. Don Petty and Russell Simpson, and held them under strong protest. After the chase, the classes returned to the school gym to eat and talk it oyer. We were once again able to walk the halls of NHS with pride and dignity. when in December the juniors presented their class play Growing Pains, which Umf Aae proved to be a great success. The cast. which included Dawn Langenburg, llob Whited, Norma Dell Demaree, Dan llaasch, and Delores Garvey, played to a capacity crowd. The production staff included Mary Davis and Alberta Blenuey, student directors, who were Miss Christensen's right hand men. Norma Jean Schultz was the head of the publicity committeeg Kenneth Fry had charge of adyertisingg Jackie Walker was property mistress and Loeta lilug was the head usher. The play was wide- ly acclaimed as one of the most enter- taining to be presented in our audi- torium. In electing Nancy Wolfe as president for both semesters, the class of 19-lti claimed the distinction of haying the only girl president for the year. Bob Farner was chosen to assist Nancy for both semesters. The secretarial work of the class was done by Norma Dell Demareeg Doyle liusskohl handled our financial problems. Elected to represent the class as N'Ergettes for the first semester were: Patty llerge, Norma Dell Demaree, Diane llurlburt, Janet llass, Denyce Marshall, Arleen Walker, and Jacqueline Walker. At that same election Don GI,ANI0l'H N0 END .... Patty Berge, Janet tarden .Xrlcen Walker. Alberta Nlenney, Norma Dell Demaret Nancy Wolfe. Jane Womeldorf, Diane Hurlhurt.
