' ,foalfa Dr. A. I'. Burkhardt. superintendent of the Norfolk schools. heads the hoard of education and is always at the students' service when it comes to helpful advice. No, these faces aren't familiar to most of us, as they are not the fellows that you might actually see walking the halls of our school every day. Prominent business and professional men of Norfolk, these members of the Board of Education were chosen by the citizens of the city to cope with the many problems which confront the busi- ness end of sustaining a school system. lf one were to step in on one of the meetings held hy the board. he would readily learn the source of new books, athletic equipment, capable teachers, and all our fine facilities. Their services are donated unsparingrly and willingly to the better interests of the public schools of Norfolk. All those affiliated with the school take this one opportunity to express their sincere gratitude to that group which is truly doing its best for the youth of this city. Dr. W. H. Miner H. R.
