FOREWORD It is the purpose of a high school yearbook to record and reflect in words and in pictures the happenings and the little things of school lifo which are 60 important to each student It is also the purpose of the high school yearbook to capture in some measuro, the spirit of the students as they have learned--and what is more—lived. Still more, it is the purpose of a high school yearbook to presont the activities of school and the students of that school as a reality--to depict school life in the light of truth, as students remember it. The Milestone of 1942 attempts to fulfill such purposes. It is hoped that the students of our school will find within these covers an expression of the true spirit of Norfolk High School.
