For the second straight year both boys received first place ratings in two seetions of the National Piano Recording Contest. They also earned superior rating in the National Piano Auditions. and Nicky ran his own radio program for a week on WCAV. NCHS. T H E C L I M A Y IA. The judges of the one-act play contest chose as the best at-tor and actresses ,IOSEPHINE WALLACE, JIM C.f1I.LERAN. and .-13'Vg'V B.-ITTACLIA. Josephine has parti- cipated in every dramatic presentation of the school, and has served as president of the dramatic club this year. She is also famous for her talent as a songstress. ln addition to his dramatic ability Jimmy is also well known for his magic acts. Ann Battaglia, a freshman, was runner-up for the best actress award, indicating great potential talent to he used in her remaining years at 144 70440 7044 Representing Norfolk Catholic at the Old Dominion Boys' State this summer will be RAY WHITE, CHARLIE ROSS and DONALD SULLIVAN. The three boys are all outstanding students. athletes and leaders. Charlie. a new- comer to NCHS, has added to the school spirit in many ways. including playing basketball with the junior varsity. backing the student count-il and class projects. and was elected to he the president of the newly organized Ki Club. of which all three boys are charter members.
