o. all Q Q o tg g 4, . 'a :W F - a , ..... ,,,iff,--.-, an ' -' at ff J oi' ff 1725! lt's now Friday morning, February 21, 1986. The yearbook must be at UPS by 5:00, and the Horizons staff is beginning to sweat. The original draft of this copy is sitting uselessly on Ned LiIly's kitchen counter. So now, we start to think. Who really reads divider page copy? It seems that this well-meaning section of the yearbook rather often degenerates into boring, trite phrases like exciting year full of changes and another great year in Bulldog history. So what, we wonder, will be our approach to this year's opening copy? tCopy, for the benefit of the uninitlated, is any- thing written in a yearbookj. But what can we say? Do we mention that NA was recognized in a na- tional ceremoy conducted by President Reagan? Or do we men- tion a more negative development, such as late demerits rising to two? We certainly wouIdn't presume. Anyway, for purposes of introduc- tion the next six pages are loosely called the opening sec- tion , after which the main body of the text begins. From the 1986 Horizons staff: Aruga, Iish, and Enjoy.
