Mike Kilbourne, james Norton, Mary Chepin. main pldq Earl Louis Russel's Taming the Brat, a comedy in three acts, was selected by Mr. Carson to be produced by the juniors of 1955. The main character of this play is the Nagus' pretty teen-age daughter, jaiice, whose tantrums manage to get her everything she wants. The plot starts to thickt-: when janice falls for jess, football hero in college, who is their summer handyman. Bu less, who already has a pretty girl friend, Myra, refuses to give her a second look, This f truly one of the best junior plays presented at Nordhoff. THE CHARACTERS Lottie-The Nagels' middle-aged maid. She is hard, diffident and speaks her mind all the time. Mfr. Nagel-The mother of janice, is nervous and oblivious to her daughter's real age. ferr Pomerroy-A big good looking football player. jerry Hughes-A likeable boy of 16, somewhat naive. Dave Martin-jerry's pal and tennis partner. Louise-A gossipy teen-ager, silly in her speech and manner. Myrtle-Not unlike Louise but a little more reticent. janice-Spoiled, self-indulgent fifteen-year-old. Myra laron-jess's girl--She's sweet and pretty, about 20.
