Norcross High School should be proud of our Star Student, Mike Woods. Like a star, Mike has many good-points - academically, morally, and socially. Academically, Mike is a brilliant achiever. He is a responsible student and a pleasure to teach. He is constantly searching for knowledge. His intellectual achievements have been recognized by this award and many other honors has received. Mike holds high ideals and strong values. Dependable and trustworthy describe him. He has a high regard for what is right and does not crumble under peer pressure. This is true strength. I think Mike's most outstanding characteristic is his concern and compassion for other people. I have never seen him treat another person with disrespect or intent to harm. His good nature affects those around him and makes their day more pleasant. He laughs with others . . . even at himself. After all, he is entitled toa few mistakes! Mike Woods is indeed a star student at Norcross High School in every way. K . s 1, - x smut I5-I Mrs. Thomas is more than just a great teacher, she is a good friend. I have been fortunate enough to have her as my trigonometry and calculus teacher and also my Student Council sponsor. Mrs. Thomas takes a great burden upon herself as both the Student Council and the Debate team sponsor. Despite this burden, she is always willing to help with a problem. It never ceases to amaze me how she can manage to handle her heavy schedule and still find time to help us, not just as students but as people too. Mrs. Thomas has helped to instill a sense of responsibility in me that I hope I will never lose. Due to her care and guidance, I believe I will leave Norcross a better person. I do not believe I could imagine a better teacher or a better friend. 65
