Color Guard x + in at K Q I Although not instrumentalist, the color guard was a very important aspect of Norcross' Band. The colorlguard was composed of three different groups. Sixteen young ladies worked to perfect their flag twirling routines. With the help of Mrs. Snyder, they polished and perfected their show enough to receive a superior rating at Festival. The rifles started the year as a five girl team, but added a male rifle. Because of many hours of work, the rifles also received a superior. Two seniors composed the corps of feature twirlers. In their third year together, these young ladies brought astounding beauty and finesse to the field. T X 9. Q , pg. 201
