The news aper was a welcome sight to any bored student dlfiring the long weeks of school. Without the Advocate's monthl publication, many students would have simplly daydreamed through each class, but this wonderful publication brou ht life to the school day. Mrs. Maddox fthe new onel led this staff through the building of a newspaper, while Editor Chip Dunn kept the staff working. With the addition of a staff photographer, the paper came alive with scenes from Norcross High School. Hard work, with a bit of creativity, made the Advocate a success. In the spring of 1981, a group of students from various activities and organizations around the school volunteered to put the 1982 Spectrarama together. Through selling ads, Yearbook Camp at Georgia Tech, three different advisors, and many other hardships, this group put together a dynamic yearbook. Sam Letson and Deneen lohnson guided this crew through the daily problems with layouts, photographs, and Copy with distinct precision. Through their leadership, and understanding of the sponsor, Mrs. Westaway, and the hard work of the staff and photographers, the book arrived. Yearbook Day was a fantastic event for everyone at NHS.
