IUHKRBSB 14 This year's B-Team Basketball players did a lot of practicing plays and defenses to use a ainst unknowing 0 onents. Under new coaching the boys team, Coach Smigh, taught the boys alllphe knew, plus a little from the Varsity boys' Coach Dwight Norris. The girls team under Coach Westmoreland also gracticed on plays and defenses, even though the girls practiced just as ard as the boys and just as long, they didn't always end up on the winning end of the game. The ninth grade boys coached by Bob Pridgen had the boys divided into three teams and each got to play some of almost every game. The boys had a knack of having a big finish. Many of their games were won in the final minutes of play b one or two points. The ninth grade girls under the coaching of Ierry Raines also had a successful season. Unlike the boys, the girls came out in the first quarter and got an early lead, and finished a game with a comfortable lead. This year's B-Team and ninth grade players, coaches, parents, andlpeers have had a lot to be proud ofas they came into each game ready to givet eir all to the end, 137

The Norcross Grapplers had a rebuilding year after losing seven seniors. The ones that moved up to Varsit from B-Team had a lot of experience. This year's seniors who are Gllen Waits, Scott Seagraves, Greg Davis, Wayne Morris, and Billy Wallace gave the team enough leadership to have another successful season. The dual meet record was once again comparable to past seasons. The wrestling team placed second in the Lumpkin County Tournament, and again placed in the upper echelon of the Gwinnett County Tournament. Again, the Norcross Wrestlers were favored to win the area tournament. The Grapplers were coached b Coach Ranus and Coach Shepherdi With so many B-Team Wrestlers moving up to the Varsity this year the Baby Grapplers were manned by man beginners. Even with this handica they posted a winning season. The young wrestlers learned quickly through hard work and dedication. The B-Team Wrestlers showed much promise for future Varsity teams. A-Q an .
