The 1980-1981 Varsity Basketball Team finished the season with a record of 24 wins to 4 losses. Their Coach, Dwight Norris, came to Norcross from Lakeside High School two years before to build a winning program. With his emphasis on winning the Devils not only became the SAAA Region Champs but also made it to the Quarter Finals in the state. The '80-'81 season was the best in Norcross' history. 27' The Devils polished off another win by the overwhelming score of 83-63 against Duluth. The leading scorer was Elbert Manning with 16 points. Tim O'Malley had 14 points and led the rebounding with 10. Norcross vs. Winder proved to be an easy win. The boys played hard and deserved the victory. Taylor Lackey, Tim O'Malley, and Elbert Manning were the leading scorers with 16, 14, and 13 points respectively. Sink It! gg
