The Regional Occupational Program al- lows students to train in a career area while still in high school. ROP classes in- clude: banking, cosmetology, tirefighting, landscaping, medical assisting, office jobs, retail and welding. SCIENCE The goal of the science department is to give students better understanding of the great innpact of science upon modern man. To accomplish this the depart- ment provides the students with an opportunity to develop a knovi ledge of fundamental scientific principles and facts vi hich will be useful, in many respects, to daily living as well as to prepare for higher education. Classes offered by the science department include: biology; anatomy and physiology; physical science; chemistry and physics. Students learn by lectures as well as by having the opportunity to practice their skills in lab situations. Dale Magee and Frank Tygart work together on a chemistry experiment.
