READING Reading is one of the most important skills anyone can learn in his lifetime. From the very first days of our school life we are taught the alphabet and how to read and write. Here at Norco, our reading classes are something special because they not only aid the students in reading, but they go far beyond the world of simple reading. Ms. Beverly Jannsen teaches the reading enrichment class. In this class students are taught tech- niques such as not taking and test taking and speed reading to help them in their college education and further on in life. Through the use of timed writings and comprehension tests students learn to improve their reading and retainment of material. All of the students who enroll and graduate from the reading program at Norco agree that it was a very valu- able learning experience. Mr. Wuflestad, a long-term sub.
