AMOEBA RACE This year we added a new event to our homecom- ing week activities. This event was the amoeba race. It was sponsored by New Generation. Each class had at least tifteen members encircled with a rope. The object was to run from the stage to the top of the hill and back. The first class back won. This honor went to the juniors. The seniors came in a close second, but the sophomores had problems. Their amoeba ' s all wall was leaking and they lost some cyto- plasm. Over all, everyone had fun and showed much spirit. Sophomore team lines up ready to compete Sophomore team breaks apart. Junior team Is ready to win. Seniors rush in lor a close second place. Juniors run back to victory. 53

TRICYCLE RACE The tricycle race was a popular event. Many people attended it. Watching the teachers squat down on the tricycles and try to ride them was hilarious sight to see. The sophomores tried their best to achieve victory, however, they just couldn ' t quite make it. The juniors had problems with their tricycle handlebars breaking, making it impossible to steer. The seniors achieved victory with no problem at all. An unidentified sophomore tries her best to win. Mrs, Kerns tries to keep moving Mrs. Kerns gives Mrs. Hane a push 52

DUNKING BOOTH Every year, Norco High ' s homecoming court is bestowed with privileges rang- ing from riding in special cars in the parade to being dunked in a big tank filled with extremely cold water. Somehow though, the candidates for Queen don ' t seem to mind being dunked too much. The Norco High students really show their spirit by turning up to cheer the queen candidates as they are dunked in the rain. Desiree Greer is wailing to be duntted. Desiree Greer doesn ' t look any worse after the dunking 54 Jill Eacrett looks ready to be dunked again.
