JOURNALISM The Journalism Club does much work each year to prepare the Cougar Connec- tion , formerly called Paw Prints and Cougar Courier . Paw Prints used to be seen in the Pony Express . Cougar Connection is exclusively a school newspaper. Each staff member writes articles for the newspaper, and puts the articles, pictures and comics strips together to inform Norco High ' s student body and staff about school events. Mrs. Martin has done much to improve the quality of the school paper and many believe this was journalism ' s best year. 1 SPECTRUM STAFF Few persons realize how much work and time go into the production of a high school yearbook. Yearbook staff members devote hundreds of hours to such tasks as writing, layout design, proof reading, interviewing people, and most im- portantly, to taking and developing photographs The 1983 Spectrum staff was one of the har- dest working yearbook staffs in the sixteen years of Norco High ' s history. Staff members such as Editor Diana Gonzalez, John Cowan, Christina Tyler, Michelle Blush, Gina Correia, Rosa Solis and Jennifer Rosskopf showed their leadership by coming to most of the all-day workshops. The production of this yearbook was certainly a labor of love. Mr. Harry Kinder helped out by taking pictures during homecoming week. This was on toga day. r 4il Christina Tyler was one of the most valuable staff members- This is the yearbook staff at work • ii ' ■» ' ' ir 138 Michelle Blush contributed much hard work to help complete this yearbook- 1 Sherri Finck takes a lunch break during a yearbook workshop.
