THEATRE COMPANY The Theatre Company put on one of its best plays this year. The cast mem- bers worked every night and occasion- al Saturdays in preparation for the pro- duction of the comedy-drama The Curious Savage . The cast members were: Sharon Muncie - Mrs. Savage; Julie Smithton - Fairy May; Jim Heit- man - Hannibal; Margaret Maguire - Florence; John Cowan - Jeff; Monica Dee - Mrs. Paddy; Chris Mauger - Ti- tus; Christy Vrooman - Lily Belle; Lane Parker - Samuel; Peter Varvel - Dr. Em- mett; and Debbie Smithton - Miss Wil- lie. The advisor is Ms. Goodhue. GAMES CLUB The Games Club is a special group of people who are looking for some- thing a little more complex, interesting and realistic than Parker Bros, games. The spectrum of games extends from the simplest role play game to the most detailed board war games. But, for all the complication, the primary purpose of the club is to have fun! The officers of the club are: President - Jim Heit- man. Vice President - Jim Herring, Secretary - John Ezell, Treasurer - Ke- vin Simmons, Advisor - Mr, Schro- detzki. iH T ' % NEW GENERATION The New Generation is the select vocal ensemble of Norco High School. The members demonstrate their outstanding singing and dancing talents in many perfor- mances throughout the year. Their performances this year included school concerts, community concerts, participating in Disneyland ' s Christmas candlelight procession, the musical The Fantastiks (with drama), the yearly Pop Revue, and singing at the Renaissance Fair. Mr. Gray, the new director, has been very successful in adding to the enthusiasm of the members of the New Generation. GIRLS ' LEAGUE The Girls ' League is a service club for school and community. The biggest project of the year is the Thanksgiving food drive which began in 1972. Girls ' League organizes the competition among second period classes to bring in canned food for needy families. At Christmas time, with the cooperation of the New Generation, they sell carol- grams, which are messages accompa- nied by a Christmas song. On Valen- tine ' s Day they sponsor carnation sales and the fvlr. Valentine contest. Each club selects a Mr. Valentine can- didate. Voting is done by giving money for each candidate. The money goes to Pepermint Ridge Home for the mental- ly disabled. This year they donated $150 to this cause. Mrs. Miriam Camp- bell is the sponsor and this year ' s president is Blanca Solis. Coach Gonzales, sponsor Pizza Night plus other activities in or- der to raise money for track equip- ment. The Runners ' Club has been a club here at NHS for four years. The members learn about being responsi- ble and keeping on good terms with the coaches so that they will not have to babysit or mow lawns forever. Top Row: Tina Martin.
